Finally!
Finally I had a decent show.....no, not quite what I had hoped for, but a better show than I have had in quite some time. This was at King William Fair in conjunction with Fiesta in San Antonio.
My friend Courtney came in from the Houston area to do the show too, and I had dinner with Courtney and her husband Cody after we set out canopies and displays up on Friday evening. We went to Red Lobster, and I had the steak and shrimp, and enough steak left over that I brought it home and had a very nice steak sandwich on Sat. night after I got home from doing the show. Courtney had a lot of fish and scallops left over from her dinner, so we had those packed up as well, and I "shared the love" with the dogs and cats. The dogs were particularly fond of the scallops.
I juried into the show with jewelry and paintings, and I sold two of my paintings which really helped to make the show good for me. I don't know why, but this seems to be the time of year I sell my artwork. I need to discuss that with my art teacher and get her input as to why that might be, and maybe find an art for each season!
I have been very busy the past month and more. I have done 4 shows on the past 4 weekends, some one day shows, others 2 day shows. I have a show this coming Saturday at Wimberley and then, thankfully, will have a free weekend. During the past month, I not only had 4 shows, but I had both state and federal taxes due in the same week! I reasoned that I don't have a reason to kick myself in the backside for not doing more work when I look back at all I had to accomplish.
