Springtime
It seems as winter may be ending here in S. Texas. Some trees are beginning to leaf out but according to local lore, we aren't out of the woods as far as a freeze is concerned. The mesquite trees aren't leafed out yet, and if they aren't leafed out, we are still apt to have a frost. There is quite a difference in the way the air feels and it won't be long until I'll be complaining about the heat. Maybe next week I can get started with some badly needed yardwork. Soon we should be getting some springtime thunderstorms. I love watching the lightening. I remember that as a child, pushing my bed up against the bedroom window at night so I could watch Mother Nature's display.
I will be travelling out of my normal territory to do a show this weekend. I'll be doing a show on the coast, at Fulton Fri.-Sun. Since I will be sharing a booth and motel with a friend so this will cut expenses greatly. It's always fun doing a new venue to see new and diferent artwork, but just as sweet is doing a monthly show where there many of the same vendors are there month after month and year after year. So I'm looking forward to week after next when I'll be back at Gruene to do the market there.
